trying to sync, server busy? what's going on

I’ve been getting sync failures with my charge4 and Fitbit app on my iPad running ipados13.5 for hours now but I just got 2 successful syncs in a row. I hope this means the issue is resolved.

It is not working!

I was able to get my Charge 4 to connect with my iPhone for a few hours this afternoon. It just stopped working again. I redid all the steps but my Charge 4 isn't connecting to my iPhone now. This is very frustrating. 

I just bought my Fitbit Charge 4 from Walmart yesterday because my Charge 3 went dark and stopped reading my heartrate. I am thinking of returning the Charge 4. It is ridiculous that Fitbit is having so many problems. These devices should last longer and have fewer problems.

I lost the steps, sleep hours, and floors, I only can see the calories burt. I unistalled the app and now I can't log in again. what is happening?? It says: "oops something went wrong. Please try again" 😡

same here.  does not sync.  only shows calories..no steps.  from 16 may ????

Clue me in please, is syncing different to pairing?  I assume so, otherwise why mention both.  I had to 'reconnect' my BLAZE watch to my iphone 8 iOS 13 latest version, presume due not using for a while (blame C19).  I recall clicking 'PAIR', I now seem to have lost my route tracking screen. Guess pair means show on iphone what is shown on watch, I just want to have back what I had previously i.e. the the GPS mapping and logging of exercise route.

Maybe I need to synchronize and not pair?  If so how?.

I am still having problems with syncing and pairing. I have to unistalled and reinstalled the Fitbit app several times a day in order to sync. I have a trouble ticket in but have not been able to resolve this problem since 5/12/20.  Every time I uninstalland reinstall I loose data. I have been a Fitbit user since 2013 and, sadly, I am thinking of swiching to another brand.

After the fix was pushed out the other day, my issues were resolved until just now. Around 11pm EST In 5/24/20, my bluetooth connection with my charge 3 is unable to detect the device. It worked all day otherwise. 

Update: after rebooting my charge 3 multiple times consecutively, it resolved my issue. Thank you!

Same here. This is frustrating. I’ve reinstalled several times over the last two days, only to have it stop working again after several hours. I just bought my Charge 4 and am going to return it if these issues don’t get resolved soon.

This issue has been so very frustrating. My Fitbit problem resolved itself......at 3:57pm yesterday my charge 3 started to buzz like I had a message, the screen went dark. I put it it on the charger and the battery was at 75% capacity. I left it on the charger thinking it would resolve the problem but withing 10 minutes the unit was extremely hot and just stopped working completely. So after one year and a half my Fitbit has died. Thiis is my fifth Fitbit and I'm am done with this product. It's just not worth the expense!

Not fixed for me. Am so frustrated. my charge 3 wont pair with my phone and hasnt synced since this morning when I had to reset it all again. I have tried everything. reset reinstalled app. Bluetooth off and on restarted phone, nothing has worked. I have only had this 2nd replacement charge 3 since October how many times will I have to have a replacement why cant it just work

This is a problem for the past month. Tried reinstall and battery charging. Smartphone sync is only 15-20%.

Still no clean pair for me...

  • I receive over a dozen pairing requests during the day
  • If the FitBit app does not stay in the foreground because I want to use another app, within minutes the dynamic update will stop and manual sync requests will fail, requiring my taking the app out of memory and restarting it - prompting another pairing request.
  • This has been going on for six months since updating to Versa 2 and I have tried e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g asked of me to do.
  • Each time I take a new version of the app, I "Remove This Versa 2" and re-install it.
  • Each time I take a new Versa 2 firmware update, I "Remove This Versa 2" and re-install it.

I have documented this and much, much more on the boards and to Customer Support, begin on January 31, 2020, the day I purchased the Versa 2.

 

I would point to the post where I documented this whole thing, but the last time I did so, I was accused of "Cross Posting" by @KateFitbit even though all I was doing was pointing to a post on the same board. If anyone is curious, it looks like the last reply to that post on this board was June 3rd.
