Major issue connecting new iPhone to Charge 3.

Bluetooth doesn’t connect.

All the links with what to do are worthless.

No problem with other Fitbits.

So far Charge 3 is a bust

Hello @AshleyRPh, thanks for joining the conversation, it's great to have you on board the Fitbit Community. Smiley Happy

I appreciate your participation in the Forums, for providing the information requested and for letting us know the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far. If your Versa is still having trouble setting up, please try the following steps in order:

  1. Turn off Bluetooth on your phone; wait 10 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  2. Make sure you have a strong WiFi signal and that there are no other Bluetooth devices around that might interfere with the setup process.
  3. Restart your Charge 3
  4. If you can't set up after a restart, reboot your phone or tablet and try to set up again.
  5. If you can't set up after the reboot, remove all other Fitbit devices from your account and from the list of connected Bluetooth devices on your phone or tablet and try to set up the Charge 3 one more time.

Now, before you begin the firmware update, make sure your watch is plugged into the charger and in range of your Wi-Fi network during the update. For best results, use your home or work Wi-Fi network. If you've never connected your watch to WiFi, see How do I connect my Fitbit watch to Wi-Fi?. If your Versa is having trouble updating with WiFi, please try the following:

  1. Make sure your watch is connected to the Wi-Fi network you want to use.
  2. Move your watch closer to your router.
  3. Make sure your router is connected to the internet.
  4. Restart your watch by holding the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo.
  5. Try again to update your watch.

If the update fails, restart your mobile device and try to update again. If your Versa can't update over WiFi follow the on-screen instructions in the Fitbit app to update your watch over Bluetooth instead. Note that firmware updates over Bluetooth may take significantly longer to complete. If the Versa is having trouble updating through Bluetooth try the following:

  1. Try turning Bluetooth on and off on your phone.
  2. Restart your watch by holding the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo.
  3. Try again to update your watch.
  4. Restart your mobile device and try to update again.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

4 FitBit’s, one Month, ZERO WORKED.... ZERO.

So I bought myself a new Fitbit Charge 2 for my December birthday. The first one arrive with no bluetooth so would not synch, I returned it to the vendor who sent me a replacement. That arrived dead on arrival: Completely black screen, wouldn’t charge or reset. So my husband had already bought me a Fitbit Charge 3 for Xmas, I wore it for a week, it stopped pairing, the notifications stopped. I tried to re-pair, but the Bluetooth wasn’t working. Called the helpdesk, the told me to do the quick restart, nothing repaired, so they told me to do a full restart, the line went across the screen, then everything blacked out even the green lights on the back died, the whole thing is dead. Thats 3 FitBit’s in one month, all of them failed either arrived DOA or the Pairing then the blue tooth failed and then went black. They are sending replacements, but 100% of FitBit do not work. Since they are all dead, can not detail information about the Fitbits.

So I got out my old FitBit 2 whose screen had cracked, but was working.... Now that will not pair with my iPhone, so 4 FitBits and NOT ONE works .   NEVER NEVER NEVER again will I or any of my friends touch this product!

I have an IPhone X software version 12.1.2

Same exact problem. I also have the iPhone X max with 12.4.1 ios.

After repeating the recommended steps by the community and fitbit watch won't connect. I called support and went through the same exact steps for 80th time. Finally, they are sending me a replacement.

I have been using Fitbit for years. Charge, Charge 2, Iconic, and Charge 3 all needed to be replaced by Bestbuy or Fit. Not the best quality, but the replacement usually works.

Sad, but maybe it is time to ask Santa for a different brand tracker :(.

I have iPhone 8 and Charge 3 and am having the same issues. I keep getting pushed through the same troubleshooting issues, have ruled out everything on my end. It's a Fitbit problem - they need to admit they are no longer compatible with Apple devices.  I'm tired of being Fitbit's software code testing partner in my free time.

For what it's worth, I found that after Fitbit yanks you around and you spend hours doing their troubleshooting steps, eventually they will offer to send you a replacement product if you ask.  Be sure to call in - the chat and Twitter responses will just keep saying the software defect will end up going to engineering which is a blackhole with no dates, no updates, etc.  I am unclear why this couldn't be done as soon as the resolvable troubleshooting steps are ruled out - but just keep calling and starting at square one and after a few weeks they will agree to the replacement.
