I updated the app on my iPhone and now I'm suffering the spinning wheel of death every time I try to log a food that's not already part of my frequent items.
The food items are appearing in the search, but nothing happens when I click on them. Or if it does happen it gives me the option of 1 at 0 cals.
I ended up having to accept similar variants of things while out and about and have now logged in on a computer to finish the day. It's very frustrating!

Hi @SunsetRunner, welcome back. I'm glad to see you around.
Thanks for letting me know about the Fitbit app's behavior. I understand how you're feeling, and I appreciate your efforts while trying on your computer. To further investigate, may I know your iPhone's model and iOS version? Does this happen when choosing an option from the frequent section? Is the Fitbit app updated to the 3.0 or 3.1 version?
In the meantime, please try the following steps:
Keep me posted.

Thanks for your reply. I’m on an iPhone 6, using OS 12.3.1 and the issue began when I updated the Fitbit app to 3.1 a day or two ago.
Frequent and recent food tab options open and save fine. It’s intermittently okay if I search for a food I’ve eaten before but that isn’t appearing under recent. However if I search for a new food I’ve not previously logged (and for some I’ve not logged for a long time), when I click on the item in the search result list the app gets lost thinking with the spinning wheel. I’ve tried waiting quite a while but all I can do is go back and give up on the attempt.
I’ve not tried force quitting the app but I do close and re-open the app every time I finish and wish to re-access or log information. When I open the app I wait for syncing with my Alta HR to complete before attempting to log food (synching takes an age compared to when I had a One, but I’m patient).
I hope this helps you to identify the bug?

I've tried deleting the app and re-installing it and I'm still having the same problem. I can only log foods that I've previously eaten. Items are coming up in the search, I just get the spinning wheel of death when I select them.

I updated the app but the issue hasn’t changed. I’ve been a happy Fitbit customer for some years so this is very frustrating
