I bought the Fitbit Blaze. My iPhone is fully updated, I downloaded the app with no problem, it tells me my fitbit needs updated. I hit the update button, it tells me my fitbit 's battery is too low. I charge it with the included charger, two hours now, still not enough battery and no sign of any battery icon as seen on the youtube site. It literally does nothing but show the fitbit dots over and over. No update, not working fitbit watch, nothing. Do I need to return this and find a better product? For the life of me I can not find a single thing I am doing wrong and it's obvious the product is defective. I also tried the whole re-starting thing, by holding down the left botton and the lower right button for ten seconds. It did blink when I did that, but that is all it's done. Still no battery icon, still no functioning product $200 and 2 hours of charging later.

I wonder if it's not taking a charge. What are you plugging the Charge cable in to? If using a computer make sure you are not using a USB hub as this can mean that it's not providing enough power. Perhaps try using a wall charger such as you use to charge a phone.

When it is charging properly a tap on the screen or opening / closing the clamshell should show the battery icon and the battery level. There are some more charging considerations in this help file:

I had a charging issue when I first bought my Blaze.  It turned out I didn't have the proper wall unit.  Once I got that the problem was solved.
