Latest app update is draining the battery on my phone.

Since updating to iOS app version 2.85, I’ve noticed the app is constantly listed on my battery usage stats - even when the app has been fully closed. 

 

This is killing my battery. 5 hours ago, I went to bed with my phone at 60%, I have woken up in the middle of the night to find my phone is down to 7%. The only thing showing in my battery stats is Fitbit.

 

The phone has been on standby, I’ve not changed my settings on the phone, app or my versa. There is no reason why the battery should be running down, and no reason why the app should be constantly using battery power. 

 

Is anyone else having this issue?

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. At this moment we haven't received more reports about this situation but we take very seriously yours. For the time being, I would like to suggest you to uninstall the app, restart your phone and install it back. Make sure to sync your device first to avoid losing any data. Then monitor it and let us know if you're still experiencing this situation.

I'm having the same issue with Fitbit 2.85 running down my iPhone battery. AutoSync is off.

Something’s going on with my phone too. Since a few days back my battery totally drains.

 

Turned off all day sync earlier today because of this but haven’t changed anything. Right now it shows 2 min screen time and 23h and 22 minutes background activity latest 24h on my iPhone SE and a total off 24% all battery use. 

 

Something is up.

I downloaded the update on my Versa and it drained my versa battery and now the versa battery will not charge. Basically the update Ruined my watches battery
