Latest app update won’t open on iPad

I’ve downloaded the latest app version, but now my app won’t open on my iPad. I’ve tried restarting, disconnecting the blue tooth, and now tried ‘forget this device’ on my blue tooth settings as recommend by a moderator, and now my bluetooth can’t find my Alta HR to reconnect. Now my device is basically useless. Extremely frustrating.

Hi there @Joycewalks! Good to see you in the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂

I'm sorry you're having problems with your Fitbit app not opening on your iPad and thanks a lot for what you've tried to get it to work! 🙂

I'm just a little confused. At the beginning of your post, you say that you're not able to open the app but afterwards, you mention that your Bluetooth can't find the Alta HR to reconnect, so, are you trying to get it to sync after you've been able to open the Fitbit app or are you trying to do this from the Bluetooth settings on your iPad?

I'd recommend deleting the Fitbit app. Then, go on Safari to www.fitbit.com/start and tap on the option to download the Fitbit app from the AppStore directly. Once you've done this, open it and see what happens.

Now about the app not opening, if this continues to happen, what is exactly happening? Will you get an error message or will it just crash or is this after you've entered your login information? If you could provide with as much detail as possible, I'd appreciate that.

If you are able to open the app after this, try to set up your tracker as a new device and see how it goes. For this, go to the Account section at the top right corner on the Fitbit app and select the option that says "Set up a new device". Follow the on-screen instructions and once you're done, your tracker should be syncing without a problem.

Let me know if you need more help with this!
