Limit data local?

Is there a way to limit the sync'd data to the device sync'd to? I.e. make it NOT visible anywhere else, only on that device.

Your data is not visible anywhere without your fitbit ID and password.  If you are sharing those, I don't think there is any way to prevent them being used elsewhere.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

That is not what I'm asking. I am asking can my data be confined to the device that the Fitbit is sync'd to, i.e. not available to any other device, not in a cloud somewhere, not available anonymously to fitbit for any reason or in any way. It is my data and I intend to have exclusive access and control over it.

Alternately, if I delete my account does that impair syncing the data to my device?

As far as I know the only way to keep your data totally local is not to have it connected to an account, as a totally stand-alone device.  But then it has serious drawbacks.  You would never get any updates, not see data on phone, not be able to sync to fix time and date if they ever et off or change time change, etc.  I.E. as it was when you opened the package new, you could probably see your step count, but not sure when, or if, it would ever reset.

I.E. next to worthless.

So if I delete my account I can't even see data on my local device? I'd say that is pretty useless. I guess that I'll return the fitbit since it doesn't appear that own or can control my own data.
