Malfunctioning Fitbit

Rec'd my Flex for Christmas 2014. Loved it & used it daily to motivate. Starting on 1-20-16 my data from the Flex to my iPhone stopped syncing. It would register my actual steps and then after it would sync the steps would go back to zero. Internally the Flex tracked the steps but didn't track to my phone. Tried all the fixes Suggested and then I was told my Fitbit was the issue and I would have to buy a new one. I was offered a 25% discount. Should we expect only one year service from our Fitbit? Was I told the right solution? I think there is an issue with the communication between Fitbit and Apple because the info (steps) is there but the data keeps resetting to zero. The bracelet is tracking, the data is not syncing. Is this really an issue with the Fitbit? Due to these questions and no answers, I'll not trust the Fitbit and will have to get a Garmin. Shame. I liked my Fitbit and have over 12 bracelets I won't be able to use.

Hi @MIBabs,

I know you already mentioned that you tried troubleshooting on your own, but I just want to confirm hat you've tried the following:

1. Restart your tracker.

2. Reboot your iOS device.

3. Open your iOS settings > turn off Bluetooth for 10 seconds > and then turn Bluetooth back on.

4. Open the Fitbit App to initiate a sync.

If the troubleshoots mentioned above don't work for some reason, does force quitting the Fitbit App and then reopening help?

You can force quit the app by rapidly double tapping your iOS device's home button > swipe left until you see a preview of the Fitbit App > and swipe up on the preview.

Keep me posted!
