When I manually add an activity, either a walk or treadmill exercise, the app is no longer calculating nor displaying the number of steps. It just shows zero steps for the activity.
I’ve tried resetting the app, checking to make sure it’s the most recent version. Have also restarted my phone, logged out of the app and logged back in and this issue still persists.
Would appreciate any ideas or recommendations, thank you.

Yeah I'm having the same issues, but on the iOS App and the web app.
I typically log manual entries as the Fitbit doesn't pick up my activity well (6000 steps total in a day, despite walking 5 miles in an hour in a bit alone). As such my estimated calorie burn is way off. When I try and log my activity, it shows the proper heart rate graph for the time period entered, and the time amount, but then the exercise menu shows "0 minutes". My calories also don't appear to update to the updated value I provide it. If I log out, it disappears, and I can't delete it.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, updating my (Luxe) firmware as per support, updating the app, trying the app on my iPad, using the web app (but you can't override values there), restarting my device, ... nothing works. I think their backend is screwy. Food/calorie intake seems to sync though.

As of yesterday, the app is no longer including manually entered exercises in total calorie burn. Normally, the calorie count updates right away. This has never been a problem before and is really screwing up my daily tracking. FIX THIS BUG!

Same here but on IOS. This must be a recent bug, I was able to log manual workouts just two days ago.

Sorry @TheMegan but no fitbit user will be able to fix this.
Is it a bug? Or a feature? Mabey Google doesn't want to enable cheaters.
I checked the Product Feedback and do not see any feedback for this sub heck.

I'm experiencing the same issue, it started today. Entry shows the time I entered manually but no calories.

My app software updated overnight on Monday and since then it no longer adds the steps or mileage when I manually enter exercise. I do not wear my Fitbit on long runs because it can get uncomfortable and I worry that the wrist band will fail and I will lose it completely. I run about 13.5 miles And when I enter into the manual activity on the app nothing happens. I have contacted customer support 3 times and they cannot help me. I am supposed to be receiving an email from Fitbit but no emails from them ever arrive, not even password reset emails. However, that stopped working when we were forced to sync Fitbit with our gmail account. This company has gone down the toilet in a big way.

Hello - I had a couple of days where my luxe was not charged. In previous occasions, I have been able to go in and change the distance manually. I have tried and tried not, and it won't save. I go to the + sign, Activity, Walk, - change the distance - press add - and then when I go back to that day - the distance or steps have not changed. Is anyone else experiencing this? I have logged out and updated the app. Thanks!

I have a similar issue with the IOS Fitbit app. When I golf, I replace my fitbit with my Garmin Golf GPS watch which also tracks steps and distance. After the round of golf, I then manually add the activity to the Fitbit app as a walk, entering the start and end times, and mileage. The Fitbit app then converted the mileage to steps, added the pace and calories and added the steps to my totals for the day. This has always worked up until the end of Monday, including my Monday entry. On Tuesday and again Wednesday, when I entered the similar data, the Fitbit app shows the duration as 0 minutes, changed the distance walked to a much lower amount and no steps are shown.

For the last few days, my Charge 5 no longer adds my manually added step count to my total daily steps. I've been doing this for years as I can't wear my Fitbit for a portion of the days. Did something change?

Is anyone else who manually logs their exercises in the app having a problem? The app allows me to add an exercise, but after I hit return, the exercise does not show saved in the workout history. Is there a fix?

Same here. Tried live chatting with support as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Support promised an email. Nothing happened. I'm now left with nothing more than a glorified pedometer. Infuriating. And Fitbit are astoundingly unresponsive. Considering how much I've spent on Fitbit products over the years, I'll have to think long and hard about it next time

I’m having the same issue and I’m very frustrated. I don’t know why they took this feature out. I hope they fix it soon

It started for me on Tuesday, I think it had to do with the last software update but of course Fitbit denies it. Somehow it is never their fault.

While I agree there are undoubtedly people who use this feature to cheat on challenges…etc that is no reason to remove the feature. Some of us, who are honest, just want to be able to more accurately track our exercise. Cheaters will always find a way, why should we all suffer?
