Messages received are not showing in the app.

Messages will not show up in the app. I get the email that says I have a message but they will not show up in the app. Notifications push through just fine.

Hello @SunsetRunner, I hope you're having a great day, it's my pleasure to welcome you to the Fitbit Community. 

 

This seems rather odd, when did you start experiencing this issue? Are you able to see a red dot on top of the Community icon on the menu at the bottom? 

 

It's possible the app is not updating correctly with our servers, which I would like to suggest you to check your online Dashboard to verify that your messages are appearing there, If they are, please try the following on the app:

 

  • Force-close the app by double tapping the home button on your phone and swiping up the app. If that doesn't seem to work, please:
  • Log out from the app, restart your phone and log back in.

I to am having the same issue. I get the red dot in my notifications and in the message section. When I click in it there is no message? They have suddenly stopped coming through today

I am not receiving messages in my app, only banner notifications of such on my iPhone. When I click to view message, there is nothing in the app to view. This has been an ongoing issue for quite some time. Please advise.

I appreciate you have shared your experience with us. Tell me, are you referring to Notifications from apps in general or Notifications from the Fitbit app? Would it be possible for you to reply to us with a screenshot of the message you're seeing? This will be very helpful for us to check this further.

Was the issue of Fitbit app not showing messages resolved yet? It shows a red notification on my community tab bit once I'm in the messages part I can't see new messages that came through nor the previous ones...

No, it was not. I never received a response and the issue is the same as
it has been for months.

I am also having this problem on an android phone. I see the red dots but I have always had this problem through multiple fitbits and multiple phones.

I’m getting the notification that I have messages but then can not open them. Have turned phone off and back in. Still nothing.  Fitbit needs to get these glitches fixed.
