I just upgraded to an iPhone 8 and it appears that MobileTrack is now not working.
Here’s what happened. I left my FitbitOne at home and only had my phone for an hour or two yesterday when I went to the store.
The phone one has more steps than the Fitbit App and I can’t seem to synchronize the two.
• Health App says 19,319 steps
• Fitbit App says 18,217 steps
i have Fitbit App 2.40.1 on my phone
i have restartes my phone, and my FitBit One
How can I resolve this? Any ideas?

@MjR1 The iPhone 8 is a brand new device. Unfortunately for you, and other users, the iPhone 8 doesn't support Mobile Track, yet.
When Mobile Track becomes available, you will have to set up your phone as a new device.
You can manually log the steps. Just remember that manually logged steps do not count towards badges.

When will the app be updated to accommodate the iPhone eight and iOS11?
Also, I am not familiar with how to manually log in steps. Can you point me to the right direction where I can learn how to do this?
Thank you again for your prompt response

@LZeeW "the iPhone 8 doesn't support Mobile Track, yet" This makes it sound like it's the fault of the phone, rather than the fault of Fitbit for not having updated its app before the phone was released.

@MjR1 Here is how to manually log an activity from the app:
- Tap on the exercise tile
- Tap on the stopwatch
- Toggle the bar to Log
- Type Walk in the exercise type
- On the next screen, you can select the correct day and start time.
- Then set the duration -- I would put in a slightly shorter time than the interval you are missing, so you don't overlap with actual tracked steps
- On average -- unless you are really short or really tall -- there are about 2000 steps per mile. Enter one mile as your distance. It should come out to about the number of steps you missed. I would not over spin my wheels to be exact.
- Tap Add
And again, manually added steps do not count towards badges or challenges.
I don't know when the iPhone 8 will support Mobile Track. The Community Council are users who like to help other users. Sometimes -- OK, most times -- we learn about things at the same time as everyone else.
@SunsetRunner I wasn't placing blame with my statement. I am an iPhone user and the iPhone 8 is the first new iPhone model since I became a member of the Community Council. I don't know which comes first -- phone release, then the Fitbit engineers can certify that the phone is one of the supported devices? Or that the engineers get access to the phone before it is released to have support ready before the phone is released? It is absolutely up to Fitbit to have its products compatible with the newest, popular devices.

Unfortunately, this is still not working with the new 2.41 update.

Thank you for your email. However I still do not see that the mobile app is available on my phone.
