MobileTrack not working on iPhone 5.

Hi, I have an iphone 7 and use it to count my steps etc. My daughter has an iphone 5 and wants to do this too, but the count remains on 0.

Any thoughts on why it doesnt count anything on her phone? the website says that daily tracking is compatible and she has the latest version on IOS.

Thanks for your help.

Hello @aosullivan1977, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board! Smiley Happy

If your daughter wants to use MobileTrack on her phone like you do with your iPhone 7, please check if her phone's model is on the list of compatible devices. If it is and you were able to set it up but it's still not counting steps, please go to the phone Settings > Fitbit  and make sure Motion & Fitness is enabled.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else. Smiley Wink

it will not sync or show any steps.  It used to do that but stopped this past week.  It does put some numbers on the main page at the end of the evening such as 11:59 PM.  But I don't know what the numbers are for - counting steps? miles?

@Jeanhmcc  What model phone are you using?  You need at least a 5s to support Mobile Track.  The iPhone 5 and 5c support the app, but do not have the right motion co-processor to support Mobile Track.

Hello @Jeanhmcc, have a warm warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. It's also nice to see you @LZeeW, thanks for your insight about this issue. Smiley Happy

@Jeanhmcc, do you have a tracker linked to your account or are you just using MobileTrack on your iPhone 5S? If you're using MobileTrack and it doesn't seem to be counting steps my best recommendation would be removing MobileTrack and setting it up again.

To do this:

  1. Go to the Fitbit app and tap on Account
  2. Tap on MobileTrack and then on Remove from phone
  3. Restart your phone
  4. Open the Fitbit app and tap on Account again.
  5. Tap on MobileTrack and follow the onscreen instructions.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else. Smiley Wink
