MobileTrack won’t update steps unless I restart iPhone

I use MobileTrackon iPhone. Basically, my app just stopped manually updating steps. I do the slide finger down screen and it displays “...gathering data.” But no update of steps.

I have to restarted iPhone multiple times to see my steps increase. Otherwise the steps I have do update to the Dash board on website. I’ve deleted app and turned Bluetooth off and on even though the phone is my Fitbit. Does anyone have a clue?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @WayneXR.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing the difficulty you're experiencing with MobileTrack not updating your steps unless you restart the phone. Thanks for trying to resolve this, I appreciate the additional details and I am glad to assist you. I recommend confirming if your phone is up-to-date: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

You can confirm the complete troubleshooting tips to resolve the syncing issue at Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

I have gone through the troubleshooting tips over and over. My iPhone OS has been updated. The MobileTrack was removed, the app deleted and re downloaded. This app won’t manually update unless I logout and back in. As soon as I close the app and reopen it, no manual updating again. This has been going on for months. I’m done. Trying other tracker apps. This app worked fine for years and now it’s annoying to use. I lost my last Fitbit device and was using the phone as my device. I had been thinking of buying another Fitbit device but since this issue, not happening. Updates usually fix things. I’m done.

Thank you for your reply, @WayneXR.

I am sorry to hear the issue persists, thank you for your efforts and the additional details. If you haven't tried it yet, I recommend leaving the Fitbit app to run in the background to improve syncing. I understand how frustrating this is for you and appreciate your feedback. We're constantly working on improving our devices and user experiences, and your comments are always welcome. I wish you the best of luck with your health and wellness goals and hope you could give Fitbit another opportunity in the future.

I'll be around if you have any questions.
