Hello @SLach, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for letting me know the troubleshooting steps you've already tried in hopes to resolve this issue. Tell me, which tracker are you currently using? By any chance was your tracker linked to a different mobile device before your iPhone X? Also, I would like to suggest you the following when trying to sync your tracker:

  • Make sure you have a strong WiFi signal when trying to sync your tracker
  • Make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices around that might interfere with the syncing process.
  • Update the Fitbit app and/or iOS on your phone if you haven't done it yet.

If your tracker is still not syncing, I would like to recommend to set up your tracker as a new device. Don't worry, none of the information already stored in your account will be deleted.

To set up your tracker as a new device:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  2. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  3. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
  4. When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.
  5. When a pop-up appears asking you to Pair your tracker to your device, tap on Pair and continue.

While trying to create a new device I keep getting a message “searching”. My Bluetooth never recognized Fitbit. First time using. A little frustrated. Can you help?

Hello @AnaleneSantos, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have joined the conversation and shared your experience with us. Please note that your device will not pair or sync through the Bluetooth Settings of your phone but through the Fitbit app. At this moment, if you have tried the troubleshooting steps described above, I would like to gather some information so we can check this further:

  1. iPhone model you're using.
  2. OS version running on your phone.
  3. Fitbit device you're wearing.
  4. App version installed in your phone (go to Account > Help to get it)

Thanks for your patience and understanding, we'll be waiting to hear from you.

I am having the same issue with iPhone X and Fitbit Charge 3.

I have followed all of the instructions 2 times and still no luck - my Fitbit will SYNC, but will not PAIR so I cannot receive notifications.

What next?

Just had that very problem - follow all the instructions and then don’t forget to “Forget This Device” on your iPhone’s BLuetooth - then try pairing again. It worked for me! Good luck
