New health metrics bug in version 4.04

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Version 4.04 fixes a few nasty bugs and brings back the long awaited battery percentage, bus introduced a new bug. In my Health Metrics summary on the Today screen it shows 5 of 5 in my personal range. When I tap on it for the details, I see only 4 of 5 are in personal range and my resting heart rate is below my personal range.

Two steps forwards, one step back.

@Joelj  Good spot! I have looked and found exactly same as you mentioned. Dashboard says 5 of 5 in personal range, when you open for the details it’s actually 4 of 5 only!

not good at all….

I think I’ve seen that before v 4.04, but in reverse — i.e., the top level reports 4 of 5, but when looking at details all 5 are in my personal range. Today they are the same 5 of 5 top level and in detail. @Joelj @MissMyData - if you can provide screenshots showing the inconsistencies you are seeing and the iPhone type and iOS version it may help with troubleshooting.

This morning I had five in personal range, and when I clicked on Health metrics to look at the actual numbers, my breathing rate was below personal range.

I have found that I cannot rely on accuracy of information in the Fitbit app. Another example of the inaccuracy is that on Sunday I had three of moderate activity greater than 30 minutes and I received no credit for exercise days on Sunday. Prior to version 4.00 I would have received credit for exercise days for that type of activity.

I also had similar this morning but the other way. It was showing on the new dashboard as me having 3 out of 5 in personal range, when I drilled down to the next level I actually had 4 out of 5 in personal range. @Baltoscott I took screenshots if you need them.

@MissMyData - I’m not seeing this issue. It may be that we have different iPhone configurations, or it may just be that all my metrics really are in my personal range. Hopefully Fitbit can figure it out once more users report it.

@Baltoscott  Does the reported issue (even with just a few of us) get put on a review list with Fitbit or does it have to wait until more people report? Some people may have the issue without realising.

@MissMyData - I’ve flagged it for the moderator of this forum. That will raise awareness somewhat, but as more users report it, particularly to customer service, and more specifics emerge, the problem will become easier to diagnose and fix. So far I can’t replicate it under 4.04, so I don’t have any details to share with Fitbit.

The bug also works the other way - today screen shows 4 of 5 in personal range, while detail screen shows 5 of 5.
