I no longer get text notifications on my Fitbit Alta HR since iOS update 11.0. I get calls, but not text. I’ve tried all troubleshooting recommendations and reported issue to fitbit via chat. All notification settings in the app, in iPhone settings, and Bluetooth are set to on. Ive removed the app, removed device, reset the Fitbit, and added it all back on like new. Still have the issue. Please help.

No longer receiving texts since last iOS update. Have re-synced, forgotten and reconnected device, turned off and on notifications in not iOS settings and fitbit app. It’s like Apple wants me to get a different device 🙄

After trying everything for over a year, I decided to try one more time, before I purchased something else. I saw your posting and I tried it. It worked!!! I could not believe it! Thank you so much.

Hi! Very frustrated, I’ve tried all the online suggestions. Once I got my new iPhone 11 by Fitbit Alta HR no longer displays text messages or phone calls. Really need these two features. My Fitbit is synced with my phone. It tells me how many daily steps, sleeping hours, etc., and I get a weekly email with progress report. Please help!

I just purchased a new Alta HR as my last one died. I am not able to receive text or phone notifications on my Iphone 8. I have done everything that was told to do in other emails I have read. Deleted app and reset, nothing is working. It worked fine with my former alta. Please help. This is frustrating!

Thanks for your continued reports about the notifications not working, as well for the steps tried on your own. I'm sorry that you've gone through this experience and let me continue helping you. Before anything else, please make sure your phone software and the Fitbit app is updated. Once that is done, give a try to the troubleshooting steps described in this help article.
@LaurieAH55, thanks for sharing that you got a new Alta HR. To get the notifications working, first I'd recommend to remove any Fitbit device from the Bluetooth settings on your phone and make sure to turn off the Bluetooth from any other devices nearby. Once that is done, open the Fitbit app, pull down down on the screen to force a manual sync. You'll see a Bluetooth pair authorization, tap pair and set the notifications one more time.

Amy, I just updated my phone too and have tried all an I am not getting text messages either and I need these due to am I’ll family member. Did you just purchase a new Alta?
