No Text Notifications on Alta HR after 11.1 update

I no longer get text notifications on my Fitbit Alta HR since iOS update 11.0. I get calls, but not text. I’ve tried all troubleshooting recommendations and reported issue to fitbit via chat. All notification settings in the app, in iPhone settings, and Bluetooth are set to on. Ive removed the app, removed device, reset the Fitbit, and added it all back on like new. Still have the issue. Please help.

There’s a reason why I ended up switching to an Apple Watch... this is
Britain’s frustrating

Same here! My last update eliminated all notifications. ☹️

ALTA HR texting and notifications FAIL EVERY TIME APPLE HAS HAD AN UPDATE. It’s becoming pointless to get a FITBIT if half the things aren’t going to work it’s updates.

EXACTLY I am going to switch. My ALTA HR is useless for any text notifications from my phone. It’s the reason I upgraded and now I shouldn’t have wasted my money and keep my old ALTA because this one does exactly what that one did. I can’t use any of the extra features I paid extra for.

I would like Fitbit to send me a new Fitbit because mine does not except text notifications.

I’m wondering if Apple is doing it on purpose, so we need to buy an Apple Watch if we want text notifications!

I’ve been having this same issue since the Oct iPhone update.  I remember seeing a message from Fitbit about syncing problems with the update. Really hoping this is fixed soon.  I’ve always had Fitbit trackers, but may be time to look elsewhere.

Just bought a samsung fit e. After a year plus I gave up on Fitbit. New one
works great! Sad I'm out the money on the fitbit though

Mine is fixed now.  I also reset my Fitbit, you can look on YouTube on how to do it if you don't know.  I know it was definitely annoying!

Everything that has been suggested has still not worked I’ve restarted my phone and the Alta Fitbit with no avail very frustrating

It’s been an ongoing problem. I’m not going to keep doing all those steps every time Apple does an update and FITBIT can’t handle it. It’s ridiculous. Now the Alta HD which is my second fitbit is nothing more than a pedometer . All the features I bought it for especially the texts are useless. This is my last fitbit. Next an Apple Watch. Disheartening and very disappointing

Honestly, you should get an Apple Watch. It sucks because the Fitbit is a
lot better when it comes to exercise tracking and battery life than an
Apple watch but I just couldn’t do it anymore. I spent $200 and something
on a watch that turned into a pedometer unless I literally shut it down
every single morning. I have an Apple Watch now (I’m on my second one) and
I would recommend it just because it works so much better with your iPhone.
The battery life sucks, you have to charge it every night, but it is a good
watch. I still think the Fitbit is more accurate with exercise tracking but
oh well. F***k Apple for making us buy all their products 🙄

I haven’t been able to use my texting or messages for over a year. This is crazy and ridiculous. I’ve done every possible update or reboot, but I still am not receiving my texts calls or messages to my Fitbit. It it’s so irritating. The only thing the Fitbit does do is tell me how I’ve slept. And does silent alarms. I can do a silent alarm, but why can’t it inform me of my messages? It is the main reason I even use Fitbit. I’m very annoyed. After trying everything to fix it I am at the last state. Should I just try a new company?

Sorry to hear that. I had the same problem with my Alta HR but it eventually did work. I now have the VERSA2 and it works also :double_exclamation_mark:

How did you get it to eventually work? I feel like I’ve tried everything.
