No notifications after iOS 12 update

Update 12/5/2018: I'm sorry to hear some users are still not receiving notifications on iOS 12. We continue to monitor this issue and are working on a resolution. If you haven't already, please try toggling bluetooth on/off and ensure your Apple device is up to date.

Hey, iOS fam!

Our team is aware of some issues receiving notifications, but more specifically text messages after the iOS 12 update. To all of you having trouble after completing the iOS 12 update, rest assured we are investigating. Thanks for all your reports and troubleshooting efforts.

My issue is not resolved. I still can’t get text messages on my Fitbit. I can get calls and reminders but no text.

No it didn’t. All of this started happening after the iOS 12 update and the Fitbit update. I’m just not sure which one messed it up.

Just out of curiousity what device are you using? I have an Ionic, all settings are correct. Texts work and go away for 2 days and than come back and go away again.

Sorry I meant 12.1.4 iOS update on my iPhone X. (will updating make me a ton of work again in getting it to work?)

Please clarify....so you upgraded your iOS to the 12.1.4 and didn't have any issues with your text, calendar, and calls still coming to your Fitbit device?

Before updating to IOS12.1.4 all notifications was working fine on my fitbit, including text notificaitons. After I did the update, I no longer get text notifications on my fitbit. My calls and reminders work but not the text notifications.

UPDATE:

I have the Iphone X and the Fitbit Versa. My text notifications have not came back at all. It's been two weeks.

Yes. Correct. My iPhone 8 and my Alta. HR is still working and receiving text.

Please note that if you have already gone to Settings > Notifications > Messages and have set a tone for Alerts like in the screenshot:

Please restart your phone afterwards and check if you start receiving text Notifications on your device. If you're still not receiving them, restart Notifications again:

• Tell your phone to "forget" your device, removing the connection between the phone and the Fitbit device. 
  1. On your phone, go to Settings > Bluetooth and find your Fitbit device in the list.
  2. Find an option to forget the devices
• Open the Fitbit app and set up notifications again.

I hope this can be helpful, please give these steps a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

mine is set exactly like the screenshot except sounds is not turned on - that wouldn’t cause any issues would it?

I have received no notification in my Fitbit app since June 15.

So weird.   I already had that set.  So over the last 2 days, I've turned so many things off then on again , on both phone and fitbit and fitbit app. Nothing.  So after your message I decided to make sure everything was turned on.  I had to turned on  banners under messages>fitbit ( wished I paid more attention) on my phone.  notifications and lock screen was already on. turned phone off and on - yea a message came through.  I wish IOS update would leave setting alone.  THANKS

Jut did latest update on iPhone 8 Plus 2/18/19 and now not getting notifications on charge 2. Rebooted phone,

toggled Bluetooth and toggled in notification section of Fitbit app. No luck!

Nope still doesn’t work. Now nearly 6 months without text notifications... getting a little boring now
