Not able to join challenges since new update

Hello, I noticed this last weekend I was unable to join any challenges from my friend. I received an email request from him and I selected the button to join the challenge from my iPhone 6s. After doing so a dialog box would pop up and request me to open the app or cancel. I would then be sent to the app store, and it would get into this continuous loop I would try to select open app and the dialog box would not open the app, nor could I cancel the request. I was momentarily locked out of being able to use Safari, but was able to open another app request so it would cancel the continuous loop that Fitbit was experiencing. This all seems to have happened after the latest Fitbit update. Prior to this I was able to join challenges.

@betsaroonie I think what is happening is that you tried to accept a Challenge invite after 24 hours of being invited.

If you missed the 24 hour window to accept a Challenge invite, I would recommend asking the Challenge creator to be re-invited. All of your step data for the entire length of the Challenge will count retroactively even if you join a little late. Click here for more information.

Hi Derek, I did try to join the challenge within a couple of hours after the invite. My friend sent me a new challenge request today, but same thing happen with being unable to join. When I select the except challenge button on the email I am then directed to a dialogbox asking me to cancel or go to the App Store. The dialog box just opens and closes and opens and closes in this continuous loop. Eventually does stop and I select the open in the App Store. It's like it does not recognize that I have the Fitbit app already on my phone. If I open the app from the app store, it still does not let me join the challenge.
