Not receiving text notifications, phone notifications work.

Hello,

I have had my Flex 2 for almost 2  months now.  I have an iPhone SE.  Since purchase phone notifications have worked but never text noticification.  I have tried everything.  Text notification are turned on, turned off and on blue tooth, unpaired and repaired, reset the tracker, reset the phone, uninstalled the app, made a new account.

I exchanged emails with tech support for a week and they tried to trouble shoot the problem with no solution found.  I sent in my tracker and they sent me a new one.  Same problem.

I paired it to my husbands phone (iPhone SE) under his account and it worked.  I logged in on his account on my phone and it did not work.  Has anyone else had this issue?  It seems my only option is to give up and return the tracker.

Thanks, Steph

We are having the same issue. It seems like the slider for notifications turns itself off. We turn it on and then it turns itself off again after a while. Not sure what is making it do that but it's annoying. We can receive phone call notifications but not txt messages.

Hi @Stephieraej. I apologize if you have already tried this, but here is what I was able to find.

1. Your phone is definitely on the "compatible devices" list.

2. It should receive Calendar, phone and message alerts.

3. You iPhone settings may need to be tweaked.

This Page provides good details. Scroll down to:

STEP 2: SETTING UP NOTIFICATIONS ON YOUR MOBILE DEVICE

Hope this helps.

Hello @Stephieraej and @DuncanT. welcome to the Community, it's great to have you on board! Smiley Happy

As @SunsetRunner mentioned, your devices are compatible with the Fitbit app and you should be able to receive notifications on your tracker. My suggestion in this particular case would be restarting Notifications by removing the Bluetooth bond and pairing it once again.

To remove the bond:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device
  2. Restart your phone.
  3. Follow the instructions in the link @SunsetRunner kindly provided.

Please remember to enable notifications on your phone as well and make sure that on Settings > Notifications > Fitbit the following options are enabled:

  • Allow Notifications
  • Show in Notification Center
  • Show on Lock Screen
  • Alert Style: set up to Banners or Alerts.

Give it a try and if you need anything else, feel free to reply, I'll be happy to help. Smiley Wink

Thank you both for the suggestions. All those notifications settings are on and still no text notifications.  I have paired and unpaired with Bluetooth a few times. I have unpaired the tracker, uninstalled the app, reset my phone and tracker but still get the same results.
