Not receiving text notifications

I recently upgraded my phone from an IPhone 6plus to an 11 because my 6plus died! My Fitbit had been connected to the 6 (and was getting texts phone calls and notifications) and when I got the 11 I discounted/unpaired it and paired it with the 11.. Now it gets calls and other notifications but not texts.. I’ve done everything the suggestions say a couple times.. completely deleted my fit bit app and reinstalled it and re paired it.. everything is on and says it’s ok to receive texts, but it does not notify me when I get them any more.. any idea what to do? Does it not work with an 11?

I’ve got the exact same problem. I went from a 6 to an 8 & I’ve done so many different things to try & fix this problem. 
receiving txt messages was the main feature that I used. Very frustrating!

No I haven’t. I even ran Fitbit about it & it sounds like they need to do an update for the watch 😠 very frustrating as this was the best feature of the watch.
