Overall user experience has declined

It has to be said that the overall user experience post google has rapidly declined. I have been a daily user for more than four years and have tried other wearables including the Apple Watch but had preferred Fitbit, that is until recently. Reduced features, unwanted additions that we cannot get rid of, lower accuracy in readings and more. Stupid.

Agreed! I enter my water and for some reason, it converted all my fl oz to ml, but left the fl. So instead of 17 fl oz, it says 500 fl oz. I am so frustrated. I have been using for several years as well.

Same here. Bring back the daily/weekly/monthly/yearly step counts ASAP

I exercise every morning in a small pool and tried to add swimming 30 min. to my fitbit app but it will not add just time, they want distance. How am I supposed to know the distance? Fitbit has gone downhill ever since Google bought it. It is very frustrating trying to use the app when I used to use the laptop while working at a desk to check on sleep and log in food or exercise. Which was way easier and had more features. I am DONE! I’m throwing my fitbit in the trash. Not worth the headache or stress.

Right! For me it's the walking stats. I'm trying to motivate myself to get to 4,000 steps daily (don't laugh, I'm 81) and loved to look at the progression through days, weeks, months, even years... now it gives me a gray field. I can barely see today's total, and can scroll back to see only a few days, one at a time.

I spent several hours with customer service, it gives me the runaround or instructions that don't work on my watch... But what's the alternative?

Unfortunately, I agree. I got my first FitBit in 2016 and have used the most expensive version since. I've paid for the premium service for years. I just purchased the newest Sense 2 a few months ago. Everything, and I do mean everything, has gone downhill noticeably. The sleep tracking, which I used to rely upon to adjust my sleeping habits and medications, is now completely useless. The step tracker keeps deleting 100 to 2000 steps. Tracking food intake has become such a chore on the app that I just don't even bother anymore. Most recently, it hasn't connected with my scale, so I have to manually enter weight and body composition. Sometimes the watch doesn't charge, even when it says it's charging. I don't bother logging workouts anymore. I just bought a $28 watch on Amazon that works better than this one. I'm done with FitBit unless Google rededicates itself to the brand. And based on what they did to a decent fitness tracker, I won't consider a Google watch, either.

It’s getting worse. For whatever reason the manually log activity in no way reflects recent activity. I manually enter strength training and then go back to log the next session and it’s gone. Just now I tried an experiment to manually log one and immediately go back to see if it’s there and it was there only long enough to disappear. The suggested workouts included mother effing cleaning. Cleaning. I have never logged cleaning.

This past week I haven't been able to get my heart rate up into the peak zone no matter how hard I work. Don't know what they changed. but what normally works for me isn't working. I do 20 minutes power walking in the peak zone and the best I can get is vigorous now and I am working hard to get that. Not encouraging and not fun. I have used fitbit for over 7 years & loved it. Now I am beginning to hate it. The cardio load is a joke. You can't turn it off and Your AI in charge of cardio likes to punish you if you miss a day. How encouraging is that? I am searching for a new tracker as I am not a happy camper.

The cardio load thing is total bull $. Monday it says you’ve been sucking so you should get 98 mins of load, then I do it Tuesday says you’ve been maintaining and get 98 mins and do that Wednesday it says you’ve been underperforming? Excuse me but what? FU. Strength training has always been challenging thing to track for all wearables and I get it but as the comments here se to confirm, it has gotten worse. Super frustrating and very disheartening because it used to be the best on the market but no more.

Clearly, Google is abandoning this product line. I'm finding it less and less useful every day. It has become more and more inaccurate, very undependable, less functional, and harder to use. This includes all of the features of Premium. I will very likely go over to a different company, which words I could never have imagined coming out of my mouth. The demise of FitBit is the very reason we have antitrust laws.

I am over 70 years old so I just want to maintain. Why can't they let us set our own cardio range levels to what we want to maintain. This yo yo goals every day is a joke. Now they have made it harder to get into the range. To get any peak this week I have to cheat. ( And yes you can do that ) But that only shuts up the dang cardio load but doesn't truly do me any good. So I am asking myself why bother and am researching what device might work best for me. I have used this devise for over 7 years, but since google acquired it the experience has changed for the worse. Not encouraging, not fun, and has become a stress factor.

Looks like I was not correct about the phone with line icon being there ALL THE TIME. It's not on my Fitbit now, even though the app is not loaded or funning in the background on my iPhone. I'll keep this chat posted if it comes back, and under what circumstances. Some users have reported it's on all the time, which is what I originally thought.

Anyone have any details on this, please post.

I agree 100%.  I've had a Fitbit for 7 years and have never been disappointed until post Google.
