Hi all, I'm a new user so thanks in advance for any help.
When I look at 'Calories Burned' from my Exercise I can see that it shows me how many steps my run added to my total and there is a number for additional Kcals from the exercise.
What I'd like to know is: are these additional Kcals burned because running is more intense than walking or is this the total calories burned during the period? Consequently if I had walked that number of steps I would have achieved some of these calories.
I would like like to know as I use the Nutracheck app. This pulls through the steps I have taken and assigns a calorie burn to them but doesn't take into account that some of the steps may have been running.

Hello @Mutley1150, thanks for joining us, it's great to have you on board!
The calories burned showed in an exercise are the total calories burned during the period of time the exercise was done. The tracker takes in consideration your movement and if it has a heart rate monitor, it will also be used to calculate the calories. You can check the intensity variation of your exercise by tapping on the Exercise Tile and then on your workout. You'll be able to see that depending on the movement (and heart rate if applicable) the amount of calories burned throughout the exercise increases or decreases.
I hope this resolves your inquiry, in case you need anything else, please keep me posted, I'll be happy to help.

Thanks for the reply @MarcoGFitbit
I am using an Alta. Do you have a suggestion for how I could calculate those calories not pulled through to Nutracheck when I run?
Also I take it that if I cycle the Nutracheck app isn't picking up any Kcals as cycling registers no steps?
