I ran 8 miles today...when I logged my run my mileage and pace were all matching what the app had told me throughout my run...everything seemed to be accurate. I am still nervous that I am under-training because I am so uncertain about accuracy now!!! I guess race day will be the test!!

Indeed it will. I have a race coming up on April 9th, so I'm hoping that it works out as planned.
Good Luck with your race!

@Digger.2009 @ScottMom4 Moving forward, this problem where mile splits don't add up to the total distance for iOS MobileRun workouts is resolved.

Hi ScottMom4.
In my experience, the distance tracked is more accurate the faster you go. For me, a walk at around 4.5 to 5kph, the reported distance is some 20% over. If I drive at around 50kph, the distance reported is far more accurate. I expect that runners and cyclists will have better accuracy that walkers.
FitBit need to modify their software to smooth out GPS tracks.
And I agree with others, FitBit should not have marked this as "resolved".

The issue is with the app on the phone, I have used Strava app and this is spot on when used, but my blaze is 10% over on the same gps connection, Fitbit need to admit the app is at fault on iOS

I've had my Charge 2 since November 2016. I walk the same route every day and have never had a problem with Fitbit matching the GPS. About 10 days ago, Fitbit mileage began to increase although steps remained the same. The last 3 days, Fitbit shows 5.25 miles at a 13 minute mile instead of 4.25 as shown on the GPS.

I bought the Flex 2 yesterday and am experiencing incorrect distances and steps counted. I have manually changed my stride to match mine and still not close to with what I know to be the distance I walked today. I'm using all apple products, is there still an issue with compatibility? Thinking of returning it...sad to say.

My Charge 2 is always 20% off from the GPS mileage. I have an iPhone 5 running iOS 10.3.1. I also use the Runtastic app and it is always showing 2% less mileage than the Charge 2. The Charge 2 seems pretty unreliable.

Considering all the problems with mileage accuracy that I've experienced since Feb 2017 I will not buy another Fitbit product. They have been really slow to address these lingering problems.

I Feel the same, I will not buy another Fitbit Product, they will not address the problem or even admit there is one, total neglect of its customers, no wonder sales are dropping off for them
I will go back to my TomTom sports watch, very very accurate

This issue has not been resolved. I use a Nike GPS watch and my fit bit tracker on occasion to compare the two and I have found my fit bit is about a mile short of my 4 mile run. While walking with my daughter on her usual 3.7 mile walk, my fit bit recorded 2.48 miles.

HEllo,
i have a Fitbit charge 2 since July, I walk every day and I had a Nokia health wearable too. NUmber of steps and distance travelled are within 10% difference between the two, I also used the app runtastic which use the GPS , at the end of each walk I have the same data with my charge 2 , pace and kilometers are consistent
Now when I use the ios10 Fitbit app and gps tracking (walk or run), also tested with runtastic at the same time, the Fitbit app is totally wrong on the pace, all 3 other devices (charge 2, Nokia health tracker and runtastic) take me 12 to 13 steps to make 10 meter (33 feet), where the Fitbit app takes only 6 or 7 steps for the same distance. At the end, the pace on fit bit app showed I had an incredible pace.... 6' 41 pace vs a fast walk of 9'4 min pace.
why is that? Does anyone had the same problem?
