Thanks for your suggestion. I set my stride and then went for a 2.2 mile walk and it was tracked as 3.96 miles. This time I wore my Blaze so it seems to be the tracking using the Fitbit app on the iPhone 7 that is the problem.

It's not clear from you're posts whether you're using the tracker of the app itself to track your distances. The method in use is important as it could us down a different solution path.

Sorry to be so confusing. It is the app that I am using to track via gps. I think it started when I got my iPhone 7. Prior to that I had an iPhone 6 and tracking was spot on. Thanks for your help!

@Joannyb, ivd moved your iOS question into yhe iOS forum.
The previous answers where based on walking with the Tracker, and starting the walk recording from your wrist, using tye phones GPS.
Yes if your using your app, you will still want to wear tye tracker.Why, without wearing your tracker, your steps will not be coin challenges or weekly totals.
As for the ios gps i have no insight, but moving the post to the ios forum should get the attention of the ios gurus.
With android durring a gps walk, the distance is still calculated based on stride. .
If you want to accurately set your stride, go for the same 2.2 mile walk without the GPS. Ie: leave the phone home and make sure the tracker doesnt hook up to it. It might be worth turing the phones BT off, then you can take the phone with you.
After your walk, report back the 2.2 mile walk - the distance Fitbit says - and your current stride setting.
The formula we will use:
CurrectStride = CurrentStride × RealDistance/Fitbit distance.
