I hve been reading on these forums that a recent update to the iOS fitbit app has introduced battery drain. If you are using an Apple product for your Fitbit app, I'd suggest looking into that as possibly the problem for the battery issue. Some say turning bluetooth off on the phone solves this but obviously that would require manually turning it on once in a while to sync it with the app (not to mention the inconvenience of needing to toggle it on when you use other bluetooth devices).
Hopefully Fitbit fixes this soon. You could also check if there is an update to the app in the App Store.
