I have both a Flex (which I don't use) and an Alta (which I do) on my dashboard. Today, I got a notification on my iPhone that a friend had sent a message via my dashboard... approximately two years ago. I was using the flex at the time. I think it's actually the only message anyone ever sent via the dashboard, because I have never seen them or received any such notifications until today. I didn't change any notification settings anywhere; my phone was connected to the computer to download photos when it came through. Does anyone have any ideas as to the cause of that kind of delay?

This is indeed a very odd situation, messages sent should arrive inmediatly and if you have the option to receive a notification via email or phone, the notification should appear on your mobile device. Let's check this configuration by going to the notificaton settings on your online Dashboard. If both boxes are checked under Messages from Friends, uncheck them and then click on Save. Check the boxex back and save again to reset them. Then, check if notifications from Fitbit are enabled on your phone by going to Settings > Notifications. Make sure Show on Lock Screen is enabled and that the alert style is set to Banners or Alerts
