Hi,
Can I raise a ticket to get my excersice un deleted or just get the tcx/fit file data?
Pretty sure it should be stored in a database somewhere so this should be possible.
Thanks
Simon

No 'are you sure?' option and Fitbit is clearly not planning to give this issue any priority. Has been going on for years; at least since 2019...

This also happened to me. If Fitbit could enable recovery of the data or else ask ‘are you sure?’ before deletion, that could fix this issue?

I just thought I’d add another reply to confirm that I accidentally deleted my run today (which is why I found this forum). There was no warning me that I was permanently deleting my workout.
The most disappointing part was that this was my first run with a Fitbit!!! I was extremely excited to check out my stats on the app, I was looking around, swiped left and BOOM. The run was deleted. No chance to I delete.
This is a horribly upsetting flaw, created an entirely negative experience for my first time using this product, and I’m not feeling very confident in Fitbit or Google. Why would I bother paying for a premium membership if this is the quality that we can expect? People have been complaining about this bug for years: it’s 2022.
For the record, I was using iOS 15.4.1 and app version 3.55 (1103)

The very same thing just happened to me. I’m so annoyed.

I just did the same.. my first cycle with Fitbit and I was so proud. Went to check the stats and accidentally swiped it and now it’s gone. Really sad 😞

It is indeed discouraging and worth paying attention to. Fitbit is now owned by google yet they have this small but quite important bugs. The UI also sometimes sucks.

As the OP I thought I'd post an update.
Basically, I've switched to a Garmin Forerunner watch and not looked back, it just does everything better than the Fitbit ever could have, more insights, better sleep tracking, recovery advisor, smart step goals etc.
The only way FitBit would take this bug seriously is if people stop buying the product and switch to superior competitors (Garmin, Polar, Wahoo etc).

The self same thing has just happened to me tonight 17/12 - adding manually does not include any “zone minutes” which impacts on other data.
I have to admit it’s rather a bad show when activities can be deleted so easily and by accident - we all train hard (for whatever reason) and I would have expected Fitbit, who after all male their money from us wishing to monitor our exercise, to be more understanding and helpful.

I had the same issue but a moment ago. I moved the screen left unintentionally to move the map and my mapped walk from yesterday disappeared. There was no message asking me to confirm delete.

Yes - just had the same thing!! Lost 2 workouts 😡You don’t even need to touch delete, it appears to automatically delete the activity as soon as you swipe right. Really, really frustrating. We just need an ‘are you sure message’

I've had the same thing happen to me and tried in allsorts to get that exercise app back but to no avail only to find out once deleted it cannot be undone utterly shocking from a company like Fitbit....but will replace it with another but definatley not a FITBIT as they are not botheredby all the posts i've read and we can't be the only ones it's so annoying..

Completely agree! I won’t be replacing my Fitbit with another. They’re not very helpful tbh and not a great watch so will probably suss out Polar or Garmin next.
