How can I make it stop sending notifications?

I can't believe this, but I think i've accidentally hit on a fix, at least for the version of the problem I'm experiencing, which is similar to but not exactly the same as others'. In my case, it was messages that my husband deleted from our family calendar that kept repeating. Here's what I did: in Calendar on the iPhone, I accidentally hit the button for Inbox on the lower right. It opened to a page of Invitations. Lo and behold, there were the deleted messages from my husband. Each one has a tiny little OK under it, and when I hit that, they, yes, DISAPPEARED!!! And the notifications ceased! But this had happened so accidentally I couldn't have told you at the time what I'd done. I only figured it out when I started getting buzzes again about yet another deleted event (i.e., "invitation"). This time I went back through figuring out the process with more attention, and it has indeed worked. I hope this might help someone, even if not everybody with a similar problem!

Hi @cvannc - very pleased to hear that you stumbled upon a fix for your situation!
You bring up a good point by highlighting "for the version of the problem I'm experiencing".
Perhaps the repeat calendar notifications are affecting users in different ways?
In my case - it is typically "all day events" which were generated in my Google calendar, and sync'ed to my iOS calendar, or holidays from the internal "iOS US Holidays" calendar. Using a Charge 2.
This past week I was hit with numerous "Passover (iOS Calendar), Good Friday (iOS Calendar), Easter Sunday (Google Calendar), Easter Monday (Google Calendar)" calendar notifications.
Are others experiencing the same?

I believe I have discovered something...
I walked out to my yard today with my Charge 2 on, but without my iPhone. When I walked back inside and grabbed my phone, I immediately received a "Tax Day" calendar notification.
Now, I had already received several throughout the day, but thought it was a strange coincidence.
As a test, I turned off bluetooth on my iPhone. When I turned it back on, I immediately received another "Tax Day" calendar notification. I repeated this 10 times with the same result.
Could the repeat calendar notification be linked to the Fitbit temporarily losing bluetooth connectivity, and then the calendar notification is triggered when it is re-established?
The Tax Day calendar item is an all day event from the iOS "US Holidays" subscribed calendar.
At this point, I'm wondering if Fitbit has any intention of solving this issue, since it has lingered for so long, and there has been no further updates on this topic. I hope they are continuing to work on it, and hopefully this additional data helps.

Yes, I think it is related to proximity. Happens to me all the time at a certain distance. I've let FitBit support know that, but always the same feedback... 'we're working on it'

@richweil - I agree. I'm even convinced more now. I just walked outside to let the dog in, and as I came back inside and sat down by the computer (next to my iPhone), I received another "Tax Day" calendar notification (at 10:36pm PDT)...

@GHolloway - I just finished a chat session with a very helpful agent (named Marc). I shared this discovery with him. He said it would be entered into his notes. I did ask him to share it with the engineering team, but I don't know if he has the ability to do that.
Interestingly, he stated the issue was posted into their system on December 21, 2019. I would have expected an earlier date.

@GHolloway - I believe you may be correct. There may be two issues as you highlight above.
I'm even more convinced bluetooth is triggering this. This past Sunday I was working in the garage, with my iPhone sitting on a shelf in the garage. When I walked back into the house or out to the yard (without my phone), I would receive an "Orthodox Easter" calendar reminder on my Charge 2 EVERY time I returned back into the garage (and I assume bluetooth connection was restored).
@SunsetRunner - Would it be possible for you to share this information with Fitbit engineering? I did contact Fitbit support last week to share this, but I'm not convinced that the representative was going to forward the information. Thank you.

Just to add another datapoint (in the event that someone from Fitbit reads this post)...
Yesterday I received an "Earth Day" calendar notification on my Charge 2 every time I left the room (without my iPhone), and then returned into the room where my iPhone was placed. I assume this is when bluetooth reconnected.

Me too! This morning I had dozens of notifications about the same calendar event .This event was a repeating, all-day event. The first one was at 12:41 am. Somehow my do not disturb was turned off on my iphone. Maybe when it was updated? Not sure. Will see what happens tonight.
I can’t find the setting to stop vibrations during certain hours that others have referenced in their answers.
Frustrating.

I apologize for having my post appear here. I thought I was replying to a poster who had repeated calendar notifications while sleeping. I can deal with the ones during the day, but the nighttime ones are the killer for me. My phone was downstairs, so it probably wasn’t even connected to the bluetooth.

Guess what. It's Memorial Day in the US. I was buzzed at 3am this morning and throughout the day just in case I forgot what day it was.

This has just started happening for me and only for one particular event that is set for a time (ie not an all day event) and is a repeating event (happens every 2 weeks). It is only meant to have 2 notifications - one an hour before the event and one at the time of the event. The event occurred last night, but I got several notifications last night and many this morning as well. I can't believe this has been a problem for over 6 months without a fix and as others have said, turning off all calendar notifications is not a solution.
Seriously considering binning my FitBit and buying an Apple Watch.

It was my wife's birthday today. Thanks to Fitbit for letting me know this dozens of times. My symptoms are definitely related to going in and out bluetooth range as others have mentioned who have isolated the problem.

Please change this post to not answered. This problem has clearly not been solved. Just telling us to turn off this feature which is pretty cool, is not a solution.

Mine started just after midnight and have been occurring all day. Event was deleted from my calendar days ago

Thanks. I don't see tracker under family when I hit my photo icon.
I do get to notifications eventually, but it doesn't stop the problem.
