Had somebody messaging me through the app on my iPhone as I was out for a walk today. Goes by the name of Steve Kalfman of Palo Alto, CA. He started off with "I was instructed to get you contacted by the CEO of fitbit app in regards of the winning promo", then starts asking my name and location, then goes into "I want to discuss something with you", followed by "And it will brought us alot of money." At that point, I blocked him.

Thanks for the update and glad you blocked him, @brianheup. That was definitely a spam call. Fitbit will not call you and its CEO will certainly not instruct someone from outside the company to do so.
Good warning for everyone - Never give out your name, address or other personal info to a caller. And do not say, “Yes.” Simply hang up and block.
Thanks again for the heads up!
