Update 7/12/2018: Hi Everyone - I've merged a few posts together. Thanks for your reports on the friend leaderboard not updating or updating slowly. I've reported this to our team and will let you know once I've heard further.

MarcoGFitbit, I updated the app (and my phone) yesterday and the problem still exists. The issue started at least several weeks ago and as stated by others, the daily steps sync on the phone but not on the Leaderboard. Additionally, I have not received any notifications from fitbit regarding daily progress (ex: Met step goal for the day, Overachiever, etc.) since June 17th. The online Dashboard is also affected and syncing does not change the information.

I'm having the same issue. I've restarted phone, Logoff and back on to Fitbit and nothing is working. I'm in a weekly challenge and steps are updating there but my Community steps are NOT updating for me or my friends.

I have not updated the Fitbit app recently
It started sometime between last nigh 7/11 and this morning 7/12
This is NOT updating since sometime yesterday
After syncing the information does NOT update

I had a web chat yesterday and was assured the problem would be resolved. Later my leaderboard updated. Today the leaderboard step count stopped updating at exactly the same step count as it did yesterday! It is now (like yesterday) frozen again. This is really annoying!!! I am aware this is a technical issue: when will it be properly and permanently addressed.

Mine has been doing this for 2 days now! Yesterday I spoke to someone on live chat who said they would need to escalate this to their manager and they would email me but haven’t heard anything! Then yesterday afternoon it looked like the problem had been sorted as I moved up on the weekly step count. But this morning I went back to exactly where I was yesterday when it all started and I have stayed there the whole day. This is so frustrating now.

I am having the same problem too. Everything else is updating except the leaderboard. Very frustrating!!

I am having the same issue also - my steps are tracking on my dashbaord on the iPhone app, but the steps are not updating on my friends page. Any help would be appreciated.

Fitbit staff- any update on what the issue is?? It seem that we’ve all tried everything we can do on our end and the problem is still not solved. This is incredibly frustrating.

Just called and spoke to a Fitbit rep and they told me that the issue has been forwarded to someone and should be resolved shortly. They didnt tell me what the issue was though.

My steps or my friends steps are not updating under the friend board. This has been happening for a few days. Any update on the fix? I already updated app and tried logging in and out and shutting down phone!
