My Sense claims that it has no SpO2 data when I use the SpO2 app. If I install a watch face with SpO2 it seems to work (at least for a while), but my preferred watch face does not have SpO2, and the app does not work.

@FreddyBZ There was an update to the Versa 3/Sense and now the devices don't need a special clock face. You need the SpO2 tracker app on your Sense. Now tap on your Today app on the Sense. Swipe up until you get to EDIT. Tap on that and add Oxygen Saturation. Swipe up a little more and tap on SAVE.
I get no SpO2 data from time to time for just one day and there doesn't seem to be a pattern. Can you be more specific about about the inconsistency with your SpO2 tracking? I might not have an answer, but I might be able to point you in the right direction for help.

I have the SpO2 app installed (but not the clock face), and I get no SpO2 data. Two days ago I’ve selected a clock face with SpO2 for a few minutes, and then switched the clock face back to my usual one. The following night I had a reading, but last night there wasn’t one - again. Looks like the clock face SpO2 works but the app does not.

@LZeeW Thanks for your assistance. Nice to see you here @FreddyBZ.
I appreciate the details shared in your post. I recommend making sure that the SpO2 app installed in the Fitbit app is updated. To check if there is any pending app update, do the following:
If you see dashed lines on the clock face or SpO2 tile, a message that the SpO2 data couldn’t be read, or missing data in the Health Metrics tile in the Fitbit app on your phone, keep in mind the following:
Hope this helps.

Sorry but it doesn’t help. I did all those things before I’ve started complaining… I’m an ex-developer at Fitbit for smart watches firmware (worked on all watches from Surge to first Versa) so I know how to install, update, etc. You have a bug in your SpO2 tracker app or in the system itself.
Today I’ve uninstalled the app, synced, and installed it again. Assuming it behaves like it’s newly installed - I won’t see anything for the next three days, but let’s see if it will start working afterwards. I’ll let you know.

Thanks for your response @FreddyBZ.
I appreciate the feedback provided and for trying some additional troubleshooting. I understand how you are feeling about this situation. Our team is always working on improving our devices and user experiences, and your comments are always welcome and hope the SPO2 app is able to respond properly.
Catch you later.

Looks like the SpO2 is completely unreliable. Sometimes it measures other times it does not - randomly. In the last week three days have data - four days don’t.

You get no data for one day from time to time. I get data - at best - three days in a week. This “feature” is effectively useless as is.

I’m giving up on the SpO2 reading. It’s useless. And - I’m quite disappointed from the lack of responsiveness of Fitbit.
