I have looked at the help topic to do this, but in advanced settings the option of swim settings does not appear. Any ideas why, do I have the wrong app?

Hello @John-G and welcome!, it's always nice to see new faces around.
When you tap on the Account tab on the Fitbit app on your phone, are you able to see your tracker listed? If so, please tap on Advance Settings, scroll all the way down and you'll be able to see Swim Settings, tapping on it will let you choose between meters or yards when setting pool length.
In case you're not able to see your Flex 2 listed on the Account tab, please restart your tracker and try to set it up once again to enable Swim Settings to appear:
Give it a try and keep me posted, I'll be happy to continue assisting you.

Thanks Marco G, I guess I thought I had set up my Flex 2 in the app when I obviousy hadn't. I did a 1700m swim and could not find any stats. I will try again tomorrow, thanks again John-g

I have started using my Flex2 to track my deep water aerobics. On Monday, I did 46 laps on the deep end of the pool; the pool was set up as being 30 yards in width. My Flex2 calculated 3,150 yards while I calculate 1,380 with a calculator. I did have to change my swimming lane a few times but why the large misinformation? When I calculated my calories, myfitnesspal counted a lot more calories vs. fitbit. Can you clarify why the big discrepancies?
