Hello All. First post here. Just bought a Charge 3 last week ( and that's another story ) but so far, so good-ish. Just a question on the Sleep Stages data.
One some days, the App provides me with Sleep Stages which I find quite interesting (Awake; REM; Light and Deep Sleep ) . On some days, it provides me with Sleep Patterns. How do I get it to consistently provide me with Sleep Stages?
Is this an iOS issue with the app ( i'm using a iPhone XS Max ) or is this an issue with the Charge 3?
And more importantly, how do I fix the issue? I've looked at other posts on the issue but haven't really found a definitive answer. Thank you.

Hello @nottmbantam thanks for joining us, it's great to see new faces around the Fitbit Community!
Thanks for your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us about Sleep Stages. Keep in mind the Fitbit app will provide you insights about your sleep and the reason your device did not track Sleep Stages on a given day. The insights received might be one of these:
When you tap on Learn more, you will be able to get more information about why your tracker didn't record sleep stages. Additionally, I'd like to suggest the following:
I'm sure this information will be helpful for you, if there's anything else we can do for you, please feel free to reply.

Hi Marco ,
Thanks for the reply, and I have a follow up question.
I do use the 'Begin Sleep Now' function. This results in an inconsistent result - some days Sleep Stages are produced, other days, it is Sleep Pattern.
However, if I don't use the Begin Sleep now, then what would you recommend I do to stop receiving Notifications whilst I'm trying to drift off to sleep?
My concern is that it might take a while for the tracker to detect a slowing down of the heart rate and establish that I'm am falling asleep, in the meantime, the Notifications will keep coming through and prevent me from sleeping?
In the settings on the tracker, Notifications During Sleep is permanently set to OFF.
Thanks.

Hello @nottmbantam thanks for taking the time to reply, I hope you're doing well. 🙂
First of all, I would like to apologize for the delay in the response. Please note that you can put your Charge 3 in the Do Not Disturb mode by pressing down the button on the left for 2 seconds, in the menu that will show up, tap on the screen to turn Notifications ON or OFF.
It's recommended that you do not use the "Begin Sleep Now" function directly from the app if you'd like to track Sleep Stages, as this feature might only provide a Sleep Log without Sleep Stages. With that said, your Charge 3 auto-detects your sleep once 1 hour has passed and you haven't moved significantly. Then, the tracker adjusts this time to include the hour you were falling asleep.
If there's anything else we can do for you, please feel free to reply, we'll be happy to resolve any inquiry.
