In the past with my old ChargeHR I did not sleep with my watch on? 

With my new Charge3, my sleep is showing sleep data all the way back to 2014. 

How could that have been when I have not been sleeping with the watch on?

@zdz Welcome! It's good that the community is growing! Sorry to hear that your account is showing incorrect sleep data. Could you share screenshots of the affected dates? This could have been manually logged too. Did you have a tracker before the Charge HR?
