Seems to not be recognizing sleep for a day, then appears. Also woke up and the usual walking around for a couple of hundred steps. Appeared in app and then suddenly went down to just 8 steps

Hi @Barryaz1. Welcome to the Community Forums!

I'm sorry that the Fitbit app stopped working correctly after updating the OS version, and thanks for the information provided. Let's work on this together. First of all, may I know the model of your Fitbit device? Also, have you had issues with the rest of your information not tracked correctly? There are some factors that can prevent the recording of your sleep details, such as the following:

  • The battery of the tracker is almost empty when you go to bed (under 25%).
  • You sleep less than 3 hours.
  • The bracelet is too loose or too tight on the wrist. You should be able to put your index finger between the bracelet and your arm without much resistance.

That being said, I'd recommend to restart your Fitbit device to refresh its performance. Also, try to force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone to make sure your information will sync correctly.

Keep me posted!

Liz,

It's a Charge 2 and I do understand about loose/tight, but this is new and
coincides with the iOS update. I have force quit, but not with a phone
reboot.

Just restarted - we'll see what happens tomorrow night.

Thanks
