Seems to happen mainly at the end of the day, when I sync my device to the app the step count drops. Tonight at 9:07pm before I sync’d the device showed 16,270 steps. At 9:08pm After I’d sync’d to the app both the app and device showed step count as 14,947. Why am I losing steps?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Mamabear2024.
I am glad to assist you with your concern about your step count dropping at the end of the day after syncing. I appreciate the additional details and I am glad to help. In order to investigate, please let me know if you manually logged any activity? Manually logged activities override your device's data and could be the reason why you see less steps. I also recommend trying the following:

Hi,
I've been having the issue of my fitbit registering steps I did not take! It shows steps taken in the future, but when I sync at the end of the day, the actual steps I took during the day override the made up activity the app was showing--so this usually leads to less steps. Perhaps the same is happening to you. You could check by seeing how many steps you wake up to...I've been waking up to as many 16,000 steps!
