Step streak is incorrect

I'm glad to see the step streak feature has been brought back, but it's displaying the incorrect count now. It says I have a streak of 14 days, but it should be well over 100 days by now. I went out of my way to keep my streak alive even after the last update removed the feature based on the promise it would be brought back. Scrolling back through my data, it does show 10k+ steps per day going all the way back, so it's just the streak is being miscalculated.

Thanks for your help

My streak is inaccurate as well. I have been getting over 10,000 steps a day since October 25, 2020. However, since the new IOS update with the step streak added back in, mine says I am at 62 days. I really would like to get this fixed as well since it was a great motivator to keep the streak alive. Hopefully we can get some answers!

I’m glad you added the step steak back, but I was at 853 days and now I am at 17😩. Why can’t it pick up where we left off when this horrible new app was rolled out????

They said they were going to fix it, but they no longer respond when you ask about it.

Any word on this? My actual step streak is 359 days, but my new “banner” says 34 😞

This is a fixable problem, right?  Any help out there for us? I’d love a fix for Christmas. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Bump …

I just noticed my step streak is now saying 12, when it should be 384 (started a new streak Dec 6, 2022).  What is strange is if I look at each month, including Dec 2023, the app shows that I have hit my goal the total number of days for each month.  Meaning that today, I have “hit your [my] goal on 25 days so far”, Nov 2023 I “hit your [my] goal on 30 days.”  I can do this all the way back to Dec 2022 and see when the streak started.

Strange bug and it is very frustrating.

For the third time, my step streak has been lost.  It happened back in March, 2022, and again in August 2022.  I've had 695 days of 10,000+ steps, though with the previous resets, the streak counter was showing almost 500 days.  And now I'm back to TWO days.  And to add insult to annoyance, the app shows that I haven't missed any days.  The dashboard shows I haven't missed any days.  But the streak counter is reset.

All the data is available online.  It would take a very small effort to program a counter based on the available data,  and then push it as part of the usual sync process, rather than whatever poorly-coded algorithm is being used.  My dog could write better code than what's being used now.

Fix it, Fitbit!  I know it's a known issue, and all you've said is "It's a known issue, and we're sorry."

"Sorry" doesn't cut it.  Fix the %^$@#%$$#$^ thing.  It's been a known issue for at LEAST two years.

No excuse.

I had a streak of more than 400 days of exceeding my goal of 15,000 steps.  As of four days ago, the streak started over (the app is now saying I have a 4-day streak) even though I have not failed to achieve my step goal on any day.  I have been at or over 20,000 steps every single day (in fact the app shows these daily amounts).

How come it has lost the correct data?  How do I retrieve my original streak?

During this entire time period I have not changed device.

The step streak isn’t even showing up for me, and I had over 1,000 days in a row.

When the updated version of the Fitbit app was released, I had hoped that the step streak errors created more than two years ago, would have been corrected. Now when I click on steps and get the length of my step streak, it is less than half of what it should be. For this reason, I rarely click on steps to look at history and activity. I am a blind user, using an iPhone SE third generation, running the most current versions of iOS and Fitbit 4.9.1. I use Apple‘s voiceover screen reading software to get my data  And because of inaccuracies in current activity and history, I use my Fitbit primarily as a pedometer.
