@Nicole611 A warm welcome to our Fitbit Community! Seems weird that your Dashboard adds more steps after you sync your Surge. Since you have reset your tracker and installed the newest software, my best advice is to contact our Customer Support team so they can investigate further and get this issue sorted out.
