All the fitbits I had prior to the charge 6 would sync the steps tracked by iphone's health app to the fitbit app. Now if my fitbit is charging or if I'm not wearing it, the steps I take recorded by my iphone are no longer synced to fitbit. My phone is connected to the fitbit app already and it says it uses "your phone's sensors to track your steps, distance, and calories in the Fitbit app". Used to have no problems with syncing but now do...any fix for this?

hi @MozzFiend you mention the ios health app. However Fitbit has never synced with the ios Health app. Yes, you are using the Fitbit App to track your steps. Have you recently changed phones? Have you done a power off and restart of the phone. Fitbit uses some special hardware on the phone to track steps.
Since your question is ios related, not Charge 6, ive moved your post to the ios board.

Thanks for moving the thread @Rich_Laue
Hi @MozzFiend - I think I understand what you are saying. Your iPhone is connected as a tracker, and you are NOT wearing your Fitbit, so any steps recorded by the iPhone should sync to your account. That doesn't seem to happen anymore. I've even tried disconnecting my actual Fitbit so only the iPhone would be available, but steps registered on the iPhone don't sync to my fitbit account then either.

Yes exactly! Not sure if there’s a fix. I don’t understand why this synchronization was removed
