Steps not being counted

For the passed week my step count has not been accurate! I did the daily school run today for half the step count a normal. I usually get around 12-15k a day and am only getting 7. Also I did it the same amount of walking as partner who had double the amount which I did! Why is this?

Welcome to the Community @Shabba! Have you changed something on your personal settings, for example, from your dominant hand to your non dominant hand? Or have you changed your stride length? If you haven't then I suggest you something else, please restart your Surge by following these steps:

  1. Press and hold the Home and Select buttons (left and bottom right) on your Fitbit Surge for 10 to 15 seconds, until you see the screen flash or start to dim.
  2. Let go of the buttons.
  3. After your screen turns completely off, wait 10 seconds and press the Home button to turn your Surge back on.

Let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy

That sounds pretty cool! I will appreciate the update 'cause this could help other users that are experiencing the same issue, to resolve it. Smiley Very Happy
