Fitbit Alta not syncing to iPhone7 anymore

My Fitbit Alta is no longer syncing with the app at all with my iPhone 7. I have tried all the troubleshooting suggestions- turning bluetooth off, restarting the Alta, checking for updates and even removed the alta to start fresh. It worked fine, then 2 days ago stopped syncing. The device itself works, and can be synced on my old iPhone 5s with no problems- so am thinking there is something wrong with the updated app? Is there a fix in the works?

It's great to see you around @Elw01. Thanks for troubleshooting this inconvenience by yourself. If your Alta is not syncing with your iPhone, I recommend following our syncing troubleshoot. After these steps your tracker should sync without an inconvenience. If you keep experiencing problems, I recommend getting in touch directly with our support team.
