Why does it say you have done so much steps then the next day you have did less that you read the night before

Sometimes the fitbit app takes a little while to sync to the tracker. It is probably showing you a number from a previous sync and  hasn't updated to reflect the updated amount of steps.

Another point is the app doesn't store any data, so when pulling up yesterday's stats it needs to get it from the Fitbit server. Sometimes a logging off/on will clear this up.

Hi it's in the 7 day steps it can say so many steps at night then in morning it will be less how is this do you no . Thanks

@Helen13 What's important to note is that your 7 day leaderboard shows a rolling 7 day total, meaning that it shows the steps that you've taken today plus the steps from the previous 6 days.

 

At midnight each day the oldest day's steps are removed to make way for the new day, which results in a drop in the leaderboard each morning.
