I've seen the messages about this. But mine still does not work. The phone notifications work but not the text.
I have Bluetooth classic turned on. I've paired it. And have both notification settings turned on.
iPhone 5. Fitbit surge. Updated on Tuesday.

@Sygboe Glad to hear that you are receiving messages again.
Just to provide some insight on what I think might have happened: it's possible that you might have received text notifications at the same time your Surge was syncing. Another potential reason could be that your mobile device wasn't within 20 feet of your Surge when the text came in.
