Still can’t get text notifications on my Versa

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have been through all the help forums, I have done everything they’ve said to do. I’ve even done a factory reset. I still can’t get my texts to show up on my versa. I get calls, just not texts. This has been going on for months when it first became an issue for everyone. However, I see that just about everyone got theirs working. Mine won’t. Please help! I want my texts to come across my Fitbit again!

I have followed all of the instructions. All my notifications are set to
on. I’m have even tried doing a total reset on my Fitbit. I even installed
and uninstalled the app on my iPhone.

I went thru all of the steps, also.  The only way I can get the texts to come across my Versa2 now is to have “show previews” turned to always.   I have that off so that the text preview on my phone doesn’t show.  Before I updated the iOS 3 nights ago, I could see all text on my Fitbit while keeping the previews turned off on my phone.  Any idea if there is something I can do?  Thank you!

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @AlliC. Thank you for your reply, @Abz91. I am sorry for the delayed response.

@Abz91 I appreciate your troubleshooting efforts and would like to confirm if you have “show previews” turned to always as @AlliC mentioned? Are you on iOS 13.5? Do you have any pending Fitbit app update?

@AlliC thank you for joining the thread and sharing your concern. I appreciate your efforts, thank you for bringing this to our attention. We do recommend to have "Show Previews" set to Always or When Unlocked. Have you tried "When Unlocked" setting?

Please keep me posted, I'll be around.

Yes, “show previews” is set to on for always, and I am running on the most
up to day iOS, and Fitbit is up to date on all updates.

Quick question - in your iOS Bluetooth settings screen, is there an Information icon next to your Versa or is it missing it?

My screen for reference:

The reason I asked is that, in my opinion, no way would notificaitons work without a good Bluetooth Pairing. You appear to have a clean pair, unlike me.

I do know that the development team is working on the notification issue.

Months ago when the problem first occurred for everyone, I know that Fitbit
fixed it and people could get their texts again. But my Fitbit never went
back to working like everyone else’s. I just can’t figure it out. I feel
like I’ve tried everything.

@LiliyaFitbit   Thank you for responding. I did change the settings to “when unlocked” and it did work!  I’d love for it to go back to messages being able to come through with previews off, like before the update, but this will work for now.  Thank you!

I tried that setting and still doesn’t work.

Glad to be able to ask a pertinent question.

I just wish your development team would deal with the Bluetooth pairing issue. The loss of functionality is very troublesome and your support team is grasping at straws. Do those two departments speak to each other?

<<end of vent, but I have been dealing with this for four months and it has actually gotten worse in the last month>>

It is, mine went down with everyone’s when there was that problem. But it
is very annoying that just about everyone got there’s back and working
right. Meanwhile, mine still doesn’t work. I just don’t get it. My phone
calls show up on my Versa.
