This is in fact the only way it works for me. But, I don’t like my messages to be seen. It was NOT like this before. Don’t know why this issue can’t be resolved.

Apartm - good effort! Once it is all set up and you are happy, just remember to delete your Fitbit account and unsubscribe from everything you can. Your data is your property after all. Once the umbilical cord has been cut, it’s cut!
Good luck!

Geedawg, I quite agree. I refuse to apply this work around as I value my privacy and will not have my messages display on my phone when they are received. As I have posted previously, Fitbit should not be reliant upon users sticking to their work arounds just so that they continue to have some form of functionality. Their devices are designed, and sold, with features which users should be able to decide for themselves what they want - it’s called choice.
The longer this issue has gone on, the response of Fitbit has proved totally inadequate, both in terms of compromising user privacy this is way, but also their insistence of sticking to a line of ‘we know and are working on it’. A little more pro-activity wouldn’t have gone amiss. Fitbit should not confuse customer loyalty as an excuse for complacency. A fix that works is long overdue.

This is getting very frustrating. I have also tried everything they say to try and nothing has helped. I can receive phone call notifications but not text notifications. This has been going on for a long time and I'm wondering if they are actually trying to resolve this issue. I'm about done with fitbit, super frustrated.

This is great, except that my Flex 2 doesn't show up in Bluetooth so I can't get any further than "Open Bluetooth". My FitBit is only 2 years old - still new enough that it should be working fine but old enough to be out of warranty. Very frustrating and making me shop around for another a compatible tracker.

Text notifications WORK!!! In settings, ensure that your message notifications are turned to “when unlocked”. This way your message is still private on your phone, but you get the notification on the Fitbit. I discovered this after buying the Apple Watch. Will be returning it tomorrow 🤦🏻:female_sign:

I have done everything listed in this thread twice ~ and uninstalled and reinstalled; it’s not working and I’m not very happy about it AT ALL. This is not an inexpensive watch and I bought it for all the functionality ~ not some of the functionality.

Are there any updates on this issue? I am receiving notifications but only if I show text previews, which was not the case before the update. I’d like to not have to do that

I still have sleep mode on. 10 pm to 6:15 am.
However every morning my iPhone needs to be turned off and back on in order for the notifications to work again.
I feel this is an Apple issue. They’d prefer us to buy their watches. Not ready yet since I’ve just paid for the Versa 2.

Advertising claims are true ---- Donald Trump (could have said) - Fake news obviously. Good luck. I really hope it continues to work for you. But having to do that reboot every day when we were essentially told we could "set it and forget it" - THAT is for sure fake news.

I have posted a little on this forum regarding notifications no longer reaching Charge 3, and other watches.
I resently bought the Ionic, and had the same problem with it.
But now, I have solved this problem, even for my wifes new Versa 2.
The solution to noticifation not showing IOS phones when using Fitbit watches:
Remove the Fitbit from bluetooth devices. Remove the device from the app.
Go to settings, general, to the bottom, choose reset, and then reset all settings.
After the phone does its work:
Add the device again in the app, and say "yes" to all questions.
This worked on my Charge 2, Charge 3, Ionic, and Versa 2.
You will lose some setting on your phone, but no apps, music, mails, or documents.
This worked for me. Spread the word!!!!

Both iphone and Fitbit fully up to date, all trouble shooting options explored, everything rebooted and still no message notifications to my Fitbit ionic! This has been over 1 month now, is there any sign of a fix? Or do I need to put a Garmin on my Christmas list?
