We are aware of an issue preventing some users from receiving notifications on their iPhone after updating to iOS 13. If you're having trouble receiving notifications and you updated your iPhone or iPad to iOS 13, follow the steps in this article, which are also documented below:

1. GET UP-TO-DATE

  1. Update the Fitbit app.
  2. Make sure you installed the latest version of iOS. Tap Settings > General > Software update to see if an update is available.

2. CHECK YOUR BLUETOOTH SETTINGS

  1. Tap Settings > Bluetooth.
  2. Tap the information icon

next to the name of your Fitbit device.
  3. Turn Share System Notifications off and then back on. If you don't see the Share System Notifications option:
    1. Restart your Fitbit device. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?
    2. Tap Allow when you receive a message on your iPhone or iPad asking if you want your Fitbit device to show notifications.
    3. Tap the information icon

next to the name of your Fitbit device
    4. Turn on Share System Notifications.

3. CHECK YOUR NOTIFICATION SETTINGS

  1. Tap Settings in the top-left to return to the Settings page > Notifications.
  2.  Make sure Show Previews is set to Always or When Unlocked.
  3. Verify the settings for each app that sends notifications:
App Settings
Calendar
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Tap each notification type and verify the settings:
    • Alerts > Notification Center—On
    • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
Messages
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
Phone
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked
All other apps
  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show Previews—Always or When Unlocked

4. RESTART YOUR PHONE

For instructions, see the Apple help article.

If these steps do not resolve the issue for you, please keep your app up to date, and watch this thread for new information. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while our team works to address this.

I am also having the same issue, even after I answer the call, my Fitbit keep buzzing about the incoming call until I tap the left button to ignore the notification.  Weird thing is even when I make a call it keeps buzzing.

My notifications are still not working. Does anyone still have this problem? I’ve tried everything.

I am still not receiving my text or call notifications. I’ve done all of the trouble shooting and my app is up to date. Anyone else having this issue still? Really frustrating me and making me think to switch to an Apple Watch!

This just worked for me. Thanks

Try turning on show previews under messages. Go under settings and then choose messages. I just did it and it worked

That does work for me but I don’t want previews on my phone.  Anyone by my phone can read my messages and that is just not acceptable.  I don’t understand why they can’t make it work how it used to.  If that’s their fix then I’ll switch.

Yes I’m still having problems. I just don’t think it’s fair....I almost
feel like they’re trying to make me buy an Apple Watch. If they go on sale.
I can’t afford 500.00. I realize it’s divided monthly, but my Fitbit is
new.

That same thing happened with me. Right now, I turned off the text messages on my lock screen since my versa is letting me know when I get texts. But, I do not like my phone not showing me a text on the lock screen. I'm afraid I'll miss something. I want the old way back - someone please fix this soon!!!!
