What is Fitbit doing to resolve this issue?? I have done ALL the things needed to update my Fitbit and I still cannot receive notifications! What will be done?? I specifically purchased a Fitbit over an apple watch because I wanted certain things. I refuse to buy another Fitbit.

Best AnswerThanks, yeah, I'm definitely thinking of getting an apple watch. All my other tech items are apple. No one is saying if it's an issue with the ios 13 or the version of the Fitbit we have and that's the frustrating part.

Best AnswerThese steps have worked to fix this on my FitBit. HOWEVER, I do not want to have previews popup on my phone. Following these steps has also changed my phone’s settings to show previews which I do not want for privacy reasons.
is there a way it will work how it used to in IOS12?
Best AnswerFinally got it fixed on my Alta HR and iPhone 11 Pro! I know a lot of people are still having this issue, and I was going through all these troubleshooting steps without any luck. I realized I was misunderstanding step 3-- I wasn't checking the actual iPhone notification settings, just my Fitbit app notification settings.
I went to Settings, and realized that Notifications >> Messages >> Show Previews was set to "never". Turned it to "when unlocked", and now I'm receiving text messages.
Oddly enough, the settings for Phone and Calendar were already set to "when unlocked". For some reason, when I updated my iOS and got my new phone, it defaulted to "never show previews". I just wanted to share in case anyone else, like me, was misunderstanding the instructions or overlooked this step. Take another look and make sure all 3 apps are set to show previews!
I've been in contact with Fitbit and they apologize for all this but did not mention that my iphone 8 was not compatible. they asked for my ios version also, but just say they are working on it. And they again directed me to the steps I've already taken many many times. So I'm assuming my phone is compatible because it always worked before.
Best AnswerSuccess!! For weeks I haven't been receiving text notifications (calls and calendar did work). I just went through the Fix instructions (again) and found one setting that was preventing me from receiving texts. If you haven't done so, make sure you go to Settings > Notifications > Messages and make sure that 'Show Previews' is set to "When Unlocked".
After this update, I am now (finally) receiving messages. Hope it works for you as well.
Best AnswerI’m thinking about changing too!
Best AnswerFixed!! After seeing the few other success stories I thought I would try again. I went through EVERY step very carefully, especially the step to restart my iPhone. I don’t think I ever did that. Now, I am receiving text messages! Woo-hoo!
Best AnswerI went to settings>notifications, (iPhone & iPad), selected the app and disabled notifications or untick the banners, (Currently using a Charge 3).
I did notice that the notifications received for any app that has been enabled shows the app name and ‘notifications’ underneath, I have to physically open the phone to see what the notification consists of.
