Strava GPS data on Versa

Hi guys, I’m a big Strava user and was worried that with the versa I would struggle to get live accurate running stats during by run as the versa didn’t have a gps. The guy in the store said that they synced together and so the data was shown real time on the watch while running pulled from the strava app. However I have synced the devises together and it only shows details afterwards (which I could get from the Strava app anyway). Long question, but to summarise, can I get live GPS data mid run because the versa distance tracking isnt

very accurate? Cheers!!!

Hi @BenJG, welcome to the Community Forums.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, and I'll help you with your inquiry.  Let me explain that when doing an activity on your Versa, the GPS data will not be automatically or live seen in the Versa. First you need to sync to the Fitbit app, so that information can be transferred to Strava. Once that is completed, the information will show up on the Strava app on the Versa device.

About the distance, I'd recommend to check the following:

  1. GPS can continue tracking while your phone is locked if the location service is set to Always.
  2. Make sure low power mode is turned off during the GPS activity.
  3. For best results, you should have a strong Internet signal (Mobile Data).
  4. Verify that your stride length is correct in the Fitbit app. You can always adjust it.
  5. Make sure the Fitbit Versa is paired via Bluetooth and shows as Connected after opening the Fitbit app.

Let me know if you need anything else.
