Syncing getting worse

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Had trouble with syncing my charge 3 for a while looked on here before and lots of comments assumed it would be sorted by now. Instead every time I try to end up having to turn off Bluetooth and turn it back on otherwise it gets half way and just stops. Also it can take a few tries to get all data synced eg. Heart rate weight etc. What is actually being done about this. I’ve done everything that has been mentioned on other posts over the last 6 months only thing that works is turning off/on Bluetooth my husband is similar for his versa so I know it’s not the phone or the watch

Hello and welcome @Trendmel

I see that you and your husband are both having sporadic syncing issues. I would start by restarting both of your Fitbit devices. You can see how each one is restarted here: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186

If restarting your Fitbit trackers does not improve your syncing issue I would suggest a force shut of the app. I’m assuming you both have an iOS device as you are posting under the iOS forum so let’s try a force shut of your app and restarting your device.
Heres how,

log out of your Fitbit App

now force shut the app by swiping the app up

now shut your device completely off and wait 1-2 mins and then turn your device back on

now log into your Fitbit App as you normally would with your email/password

😃 Let’s see if that improves your syncing issue. On a side note after thinking about it I would ensure that your Fitbit doesn’t appear on your husband Bluetooth and vice versa. I would believe that can cause conflicts. Please keep me posted and please tap the “best answer” box under my post if these suggestions have indeed improved your syncing issues. It really helps other that come to this community looking for answers to questions similar to your own, I’d appreciate it.

Hello again @Trendmel

Just a thought but could it be that both you and your husband having syncing issues (but using different trackers) it might appear slower when syncing if your at home per say and your trackers are syncing at the same time? Or because your both syncing to the same router/WiFi that the internet speed is just not strong or fast enough to accommodate two syncing trackers? I bring this up because your describing “slow syncing” but it does indeed eventually sync. Just a thought.
